I have stripped off more than 10 kg since the beginning of the year. I started to pack the kilos on after I had ankle surgery. Unable to put any weight on my foot, I was totally immobile for 3 months, I really beefed it up, tipping the scales at 119 kilograms . I lost the 19 kilos and stopped losing weight at 105 kilos. At the beginning of this year I decided that it was time to get back down to my fighting weight at 90kg. So I got serious.
I stopped eating all carbs in particular white rice, bread and pasta. So pizza and spag bol had to stop. I stopped eating the BLT and sausage rolls from the bakers up the road. Then the real hard one had to go; all sugar. This was hard as I l really love my chocolate.
I then halved my meal size and tweaked my time for the meals. All snacks were out and I stopped eating each day at 6.30pm. I wouldn’t eat again until at least 12pm. This was flexible though. I was down to one glass of red wine a day. 1 small luxury that I enjoy.
I took out a gym membership and stared to train with a personal trainer, twice per week.
It has taken me a while to get to this, but I had to take drastic action. My weight now sits on 94kg. I am planning to lose another 4 kg, then I will see how I feel.
