Martial Arts, in particular Northstar Martial Arts utilizes gradings as a great way to monitor, maintain and improve your fitness, well being and martial arts. Gradings are great as they are bite sized chunks that are obtainable with a little commitment and effort.

They set up a winning mentality that if you do set a goal and then work towards it, you can pass and move onto the next level. You can use these smaller wins to improve confidence and set your mark a little higher each time.

You have to work with in your limitations. Remember that no matter how humble your goal, its your goal and no one can take that away from you. Set your plan, don’t be extreme, slowly and steadily work towards it. Never listen to anyone that says you cant, how would they know, they probably don’t understand their own limitations let alone yours. Don’t worry about doing it perfectly, you have a lifetime to get it right. Have fun along the way.

If you don't think you will make it...push a little harder..

* Do an extra class.
* Come in on Sat 9am and do a fitness class.
* For 3 weeks stop drinking alcohol and coffee.
*Cut down on sugar and fat in your diet.
* Do a private lesson with one of the trainers.
**STOP putting it off, stop making excuses...

These workshops fill quickly!! If you would like to learn more about sparring, fighting and how well you can go under pressure then this is a must for you. It's great for beginners to get your feet wet and more experienced students to fine tune your
technique. It's physical and it's fun and a great all round experience.
Friday 31st October 6.30pm. Balmain.
Cost $25. 2 Training Credits.
Pre registration required.

ADULT GRADING INTENSIVES
Brown belts and above (including Black) there is a training intensive on Saturday 18th October at 3.30pm.
Cost: FREE. This is worth 2 training credits. Balmain Dojo.

White to Blue Tip: Saturday 29th Nov, 3.30pm
Blue Belt and above: Sat 29th Nov, 4.30pm
Cost $25. 2 training credits.

NORTHSTAR CHAMPIONSHIP
The Northstar Sparring competition will be held at Balmain on Sunday 14th December 10am.
This is open to all adult students, men and women. You will be competing against students your own level.

Saturday 20th December. Monkey Bar Balmain 7.30pm.

YEARLY REGISTRATION FEE
This year we have reduced the yearly registration fee to just $10. Last year it was $30.
Please fill in the form and bring back with your filled in PCYC form.

TERM DATES
Last day of term is Saturday 12th April

PARENTS DUTY OF CAREPlease ensure that you drop your children off at the class time and pick them up when class finishes. Northstar takes no responsibility for children before class commences and after class finishes. Please ensure all relevant medication is taken to class and if there is any change in the medical status of your child it is your responsibility to inform us asap. We recommend that all children come with a bottle of water. No parents are permitted to be in the class room unless children are trying the class for the first time.

MEMBERSHIP DETAILS.
Please review the following details.
1. We require 7 days notice to suspend or cancel membership.
2. To suspend or cancel you have to fill in the appropriate forms at the counter. No details will be taken via email, phone call or sms.
3. Minimum suspension is 1 month. Maximum is 2 months.
4. If you cancel and rejoin you will be required to pay the $150 membership joining fee.
5. If you cancel your contract early there may be a cancellation fee.
6. All interaction with Northstar Staff and trainers is to be polite and cordial.
